Cheers! Green Smoothies Are So Good

Green smoothies are everywhere and drinking them is a major trend in health. It is surprising how many people I have met recently that have been trying to get healthy by replacing meals with green smoothies or protein shakes. They generally put veggies and fruit in a blender, zap it, and gulp it down. Smoothies are versatile beverages easy to carry, the whole family can enjoy it, and modifiable for any taste or dietary preference and even the kids can make it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 heaping cup fresh spinach

  • 1 cup coconut water

  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks

  • 1/2 banana, frozen

  • 1/4 avocado

Directions:

  1. Blend the spinach and coconut water together in a high-speed blender.

  2. When combined, blend in the frozen pineapple, frozen banana, and avocado until smooth and creamy.

 Nice to know… consume 1 cup of raw spinach (or 1/2 cup cooked) per day and start to feel the effects within four weeks. Watch your blood sugar level though it may go down with all this natural goodness
